Holding a Master’s in International Affairs and an MBA in Sustainable Business/Organization, Frances has been appointed to and served on over 20 national and state task forces, committees, and advocacy groups.
She has worked and consulted with a broad range of organizations from community start-up nonprofits to the Clinton Foundation Health Access Initiative, University of Washington Global Health, US Department of Health & Human Services, Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, and the Pan American Health Organization. Her passion is strengthening systems and building organizational capacity to create deep and sustainable change that provides an integrative and participatory approach to complex issues.
Frances’ non-profit work includes six years as project officer to community organizations executing an innovative program that became a national model for effective outreach to at-risk populations.
More recently she has served as Executive Director with a global economic development NGO and a statewide anti-human trafficking non-profit, successfully steering both organizations through major periods of transition. Frances has also served on the Boards of three Washington state non-profits and continues to volunteer with a broad range of social justice and economic development organizations.
Originally from the UK, Frances has lived/worked in 21 countries and experiencing diverse cultures is still her greatest passion. She relocated to the Greater Seattle area in 2005 and enjoys travel, yoga, and exploring the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
