Cindy Broetje is a senior and experienced Human Resources professional and has had a successful career of 35+ years in the HR profession.
Cindy was at Microsoft in HR for 25+ years and enjoyed a diverse and challenging career and held multiple roles with increasing span and responsibility. She was a member of the Senior HR Leadership Team at Microsoft and her last role was HR General Manager of the Corporate Business Groups with responsibility for Finance, Corporate and External Legal Affairs, Business Development, and Human Resources. Cindy partnered with senior business leaders to lead the strategic HR agenda with focus on areas such as organizational health, culture, diversity, recruiting, employee engagement, manager development, and learning and development.
Cindy also has experience in HR Systems, performance and change management, employee relations, career development, early in career programs, benefits and data analytics. Cindy is a seasoned and strong manager and leader and has lead large global teams and knows how to build and optimize global talent programs and processes.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Cindy spent 12+ years at Nordstrom where she started in sales and then went on to hold a variety of management roles in Human Resources and Training and Development. Cindy was part of the HR Management team responsible for opening the first Nordstrom store in California.
As a native of Seattle, Cindy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington and is a long time Husky fan. In her spare time Cindy enjoys traveling with her husband, gardening, walking, and all activities that include her two sons.
