Over a long career in leading nonprofit organizations Deniz has built a reputation for developing and deploying innovative high-end, high-yield fundraising and donor engagement strategies and solutions. Her work has transformed national and local nonprofit organizations and the development teams that empower them. She brings an entrepreneurial, resilient, and flexible spirit to the challenge of building teams positioned for sustainable and scalable growth. She cultivates a major gifts and stewardship culture and creates customized solutions to take organizations from good to great.
During her long tenure with JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), she contributed to high growth fundraising through a variety of activities and organizational initiatives. Most recently, as National Director of & Associate Vice President of Signature Events, she was a catalyst for expanding the national gala program for JDRF’s 70-plus annual events across the U.S., generating team excitement for reaching ambitious goals. She identified mentors to guide best practices, ultimately reaching $80 million in annual revenue toward the organization’s mission.
Her success in improving charitable events, particularly transforming the live donation appeal into a signature event, helped JDRF grow its national fundraising capacity by 100%.
