Marcia Donziger is nonprofit consultant and advisor who helps organizations reduce unwanted turnover, stress, and burnout through leadership coaching, management training, and consulting services.
She is the architect of the Culture CARES® Framework—a proven process to foster a healthy, empowering, and inclusive work environment for all.
In 2007, Marcia founded the national nonprofit organization, MyLifeLine Cancer Foundation, with a vision to transform the cancer experience through community and connection. She served as Executive Director for nearly a decade and led the successful merger of the organization into the global Cancer Support Community in 2018.
For her pioneering efforts to reduce isolation and build community for 300,000+ cancer patients and their families worldwide, Marcia has been honored with the “John Hickenlooper Unsung Hero Award” and The Denver Channel’s “Everyday Hero Award.” In 2023, Marcia received the Outstanding Leader award at the Health 2.0 conference in Las Vegas.
Marcia served the Cancer Support Community as a fractional Chief Culture Officer for a year after the pandemic accelerated employee burnout and stress. Marcia worked with the executive team to develop and implement her Culture CARES® model to drive a significant cultural turnaround including 250% improvement in employee net promoter school and 200% improvement in employees reporting a positive business outlook.
Today, Marcia partners with social impact enterprises to drive measurable culture transformation as organizations need to quickly adapt to changing employee expectations, reorganizations, and leadership transitions.
Marcia’s first book was released in 2023: You Are Meant for Great Things; My Story of Turning Setbacks Into Stepping Stones. She shares her story to help women overcome adversity and build resilience. Her second manuscript is in progress on culture leadership for the social impact sector.
She earned her degree in Organizational Psychology and multiple certifications:
