Molly brings almost 20 years of experience with Puget Sound non-profits, working on a broad range of education-focused issues. Described as an inspirational leader, strategic thinker and creative problem solver, Komen Puget Sound (KPS) is very excited to have her join the team.
"We believe Molly’s background, experience and leadership are what we need in our next executive director. She is uniquely qualified and positioned to lead KPS into the future,” said Dr. Amy Sing, MD, board president. Molly has helped organizations create overall strategy, enhance their work around advocacy and community engagement, and take action with an equity lens. She is passionate about helping organizations find and leverage untapped potential. She is committed to working in local, underserved communities. These skills make her a great fit to be the next executive director of Komen Puget Sound, where promoting access to services for local underserved communities is a core priority. “We all know a person, a family affected by breast cancer. Because of that I am ‘all in’ with Komen’s mission of saving lives by meeting critical needs in our communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer,” said Molly. Molly takes the helm at a challenging time for both the nonprofit and business communities alike. In response to COVID-19, KPS has had to reschedule events, including its signature MORE THAN PINK Walk®, and provide safer ways for the vulnerable breast cancer community to participate in programs such as the Northwest Metastatic Breast Cancer Conference. Komen Puget Sound remains committed to its core mission of supporting individuals and families affected by breast cancer and continuing to deliver vital, life-saving interventions, public health support and much-needed research.
