Twenty-five years of experience as executive director, C-level and consulting roles in the food insecurity, art, mental health, foundation, technology, early childhood, youth development, housing, and refuge sectors.
Carmen has served as a board advisor for the Simmons Graduate School of Management, Hilltop Learning Institute, Pottery Northwest, Green Tree Early Learning and Mission Prep.
She has a Master of Business Administration from Simmons University, a Bachelor of Science from Harvard University, a certificate in Embodied Social Justice from the Embody Lab and a certificate of Nonfiction Writing from the University of Washington.
In her free time, she enjoys baking for her three children, being a Spartan athlete, walking her sassy pants Corgi Wanda, watching RuPaul’s Drag race and building a new collective called The Justice Together Project.
