Mari Offenbecher has spent over 35 years as a non-profit leader as CEO, Interim Executive Director and Board Member. Mari has served as a leader advancing quality, equity and innovation in non-profit programs across Washington state. Mari is a deeply committed leader who centers racial equity and inclusion in furthering the mission, vision and values of organizations. She guides organizations through assessment and capacity building to improve internal and external anti-racist policies and practices. She has deep experience supporting organizations through change, growth and transformation.
Mari has led efforts to build local, statewide and national coalitions and initiatives that impact systems change for children and youth. She has dedicated her career to bringing educational opportunities and critical developmental support to children and youth, particularly those who are furthest from opportunity. She has served as a board member of a statewide and national organization and currently serves as Co-President to a local non-profit.
Mari holds a Bachelors degree in Child Development from California State University Sacramento and has conducted research on advanced child development systems at University of California Berkeley and Edinburgh University.
