Their vision is to help all youth achieve their full potential. With roots in the Puget Sound area for more than 60 years, they foster one-on-one mentorships between adult volunteers and youth aged 6-18. Their programs can be found in schools, workplaces, and community settings. They aim to empower today’s kids to build a strong future for themselves and a stronger village for everyone around them as well across King and Pierce counties. And it’s working! Their data shows that kids matched who have been matched with a BBBSPS mentor for a year or more are doing better both personally and academically. They report better grades, have a 100% High School graduation rate, and increased expectations for their future beyond High School.
