In this role Troy will oversee CFH’s strategic direction, partnership opportunities, fundraising efforts, and ongoing programming. In speaking of his new position Troy remarked, I feel exceptionally fortunate and energized to join CFH because of the work our board, donors, and staff have done to position CFH for success going forward. I am honored to join CFH and work alongside the dedicated staff and volunteers to make a meaningful difference in the lives of men encountering homelessness. The new 100-bed emergency men’s shelter and CFH headquarters facility, opening in the Summer of 2023, is a powerful resource for our clients and, by extension, our community. Together, we will create a more equitable and supportive community where everyone can access safe and stable housing. About Troy Troy Christensen has 20 years of leadership in the Puget Sound region. In his time leading nonprofit organizations he has acquired significant experience in the areas of budgeting, program evaluation, case management, and clinical supervision. Most recently he was the Executive Director of Rainbow Center based in Tacoma. Prior to that he served as the Interim Director of Inpatient Behavioral Health at the Metropolitan Development Council. He has served on numerous boards and in board advisory roles, including as a Board Member on the Tacoma Fair Housing Center of Washington. His colleagues know him as someone that is skilled in community outreach, program development, grant writing, fundraising, and nonprofit strategic planning. Troy is always learning and growing professionally. He holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Chapman University, a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Fielding Graduate University, a graduate certificate in Human Resources and Services and a Master of Health Administration (Health Care Administration and Management) also from Chapman University. About Congregations for The Homeless Congregations for the Homeless (CFH) offers outreach programs, support services, emergency shelter, and housing navigation to men experiencing homelessness in Bellevue, Washington. Their year-round shelter options are one step in the process of getting men into either CFH housing or other permanent housing to provide stability in their lives. Additionally, their support services include homemade meals, case management, life skills, mental health therapy, employment aid, and addiction support to give men a foundational support system to set them up for success. CFH works every day to end homelessness in King County’s Eastside by creating a path from homelessness to stable living.
