Family Law CASA of King County Announces Lisa H. Chin, PhD, from Valtas Group, as Interim Executive Director

​Family Law CASA of King County recently announced Lisa H. Chin, PhD, from Valtas Group, as Interim Executive Director to steward the organization for the next 6 to 9 months.

​Working with the Board and Staff of Family Law CASA, Dr. Chin will focus her efforts on achieving fiscal year 2020 goals and meeting the needs of the vulnerable children in King County.

​“The board has every confidence in Lisa as our Interim Executive Director as we begin the search for a new permanent director of Family Law CASA. We had a successful fiscal year 2019 and will continue to advocate for King County children during this interim period,” says Susan K. McIntosh, Governance Chair, Board of Directors.

​Lisa is a senior executive leader with over twenty years’ expertise leading highly innovative and mission-focused organizations, including Amazon, Social Venture Partners, the Boys & Girls Club and Bellevue College. Dr. Chin holds a B.A. in Political Science & Art, Wellesley College and a PhD Education, University of California, Los Angeles. 

Experienced in vision and goal setting, Lisa is passionate about Family Law CASA’s mission and excited to help us achieve our fiscal year 2020 goals.

ABOUT FAMILY LAW CASA

With the mission to advocate for local children in high-risk custody cases so they have a chance for a safe, secure home life, significantly reducing the risk of abuse and neglect, Family Law CASA provided an advocate for 273 children, giving them a voice in court and a safe custody plan in FY19. In operation since 2002, FL CASA has helped over 2,000 at-risk children have a safer, more secure home life.
