2020 was truly a váltás, a time to pivot, think outside the box, adapt, and change from one direction or place to another. Few will look back on this year with fond memories; however, many will recall how resilience, empathy, and a deep commitment to one another was demonstrated in both small moments and big ways. It has been a privilege and honor to support the social sector services this past year. We have been awed and humbled by the creativity and speed at which our nonprofit community has adapted to the challenges this pandemic has provided. From ‘Zooming’ to ‘COVIDing’, the community's infinite adaptability and resilience are inspiring, from program delivery to fundraising. As these organizations look toward 2021 and beyond, please keep in mind that we are all a part of their success as a community. Continue to find ways to do more, volunteer more, donate more, and ask your favorite nonprofit what they need now to continue with their mission. The ability to show up where we are needed, and fill gaps will allow 2021 to unfold favorably for all the families in need who rely on the social sector providers in our communities. We will emerge from pandemics, social unrest, and political upheaval stronger and tougher than before. Things will settle down. A new ‘normal’ will emerge. The way we all care for family, neighbors, and community will evolve. We will succeed and thrive because that is what we do as an American society. That is what we do within our cities and communities. That is what we do with our families and friends. To all the nonprofits who persevere and deliver, who do the hard work every day, we stand with you to serve.
