Valtas Consulting Team Adds Liddy Wendell

The former Executive Director of the Seattle Institute for Early Childhood Development, Liddy Wendell, joined our consulting team after a seven year stint with the umbrella organization for Hilltop Children’s Center and Hilltop Educator Institute. A collaborative, mission-focused leader, Liddy brings an extensive track record of implementing social justice and community empowerment initiatives to the team.

Her previous roles have spanned the non-profit, private, and public sectors, equipping her to take on a wide array of challenges across program development, management, and fundraising. She is adept at designing strategic programs, implementing new initiatives, vision setting, and growing the capacity of organizations.

She is frequently described as a leader-advocate by her peers and is adept at creating a culture of inclusion to bring people from different backgrounds with different experiences together to achieve more together. Liddy’s values-based decision-making style is both collaborative and aspirational. Her core expertise involves building sustainable systems, engaging the community, empowering staff to dream big and execute bigger.

Liddy spends her time serving on advisory boards and committees for Big Brothers Big Sisters, Woodland Park Zoo, and King County Early Learning Coalition. She is also fluent in Spanish, which has equipped her to lead initiatives such as co-founding the Latino Mentoring Initiative for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound to translate key program materials into Spanish. Additionally, Liddy taught a Spanish education curriculum for Hilltop Children’s Center – Seattle to better engage the local community.
